  Decided to stop in Silverton on our way over the mountain. My friend mentioned Mexican food and we found Los Girasoles. Wow! Great food made fresh. The chile relleno was fabulous and the chorizo burrito got 2 thumbs up. We each also got a taco. And, they have horchata!!
  A nice little place with the charm of a neighborhood cantina.
  They also have baked goods for sale. Lots of locals come just for the goodies. We got some for the road.
  We now have this on our "gotta go back" list.

  The food here is not good if you have any sort of standard for Mexican food. The women who worked there were very sweet but it didn't make up for the lack of flavor in the food.
  
  The veggie enchiladas were just filled with rice that's it, and the rice on the outside was cold.
  
  The shrimp tostada was so bland all I could taste was the like metal flavor from god knows what and it may or may not have been frozen one of the tomatoes felt ice cold to my teeth.
  
  The Pollo was bland but thank god for their sauces on the table made it much easier to put down.
  
  Lengua, again, great texture but lacked much flavor at all.
  I put so much salt and sauce to make it resemble anything.
  
  I don't understand how this place has such great reviews. Save your mouth and drive to wood burn after your hike you'll enjoy it much more.

  Small red barn building on the edge of town. It was busy lots of to go orders and diners. We had tacos and tamales. The pork pastor was the best taco. The tamales were a bit dry. The green and red bottles sauce they make were okay. The green sauce was the better of the two.
  They have a giant burrito I saw pass by.
  I'd come back and try other items on the menu.

  Nice little hole in the wall type of place. I usually order spicy pork burrito, the quality can very quite a bit which is frustrating. This is what I would call more authentic Mexican food than your Americanized Mexican food which is why I like this place. The service and people are really very nice.

  I would be giving this place more stars, as it probably does deserve them, but I was purposely overcharged by a young girl working here (possibly a family member) and didn't realize until I had left. I had two children with me and was occupied while I was paying. The total should have been around 12-14 dollars, she charged me 40... why I didn't return the next day is beyond me. She had a smirk on her face as she totaled it up, I was just oblivious as she ran my card. I haven't gone back since, so I figured that is how I can get my money back. The food is decent here. I like it better at the taco truck near TNT if I'm craving a veggie burrito. Thanks for over charging me though! Keeps me informed as to where the good people are and who I want to give my money to.
